The first-look poster and glimpses into the lead characters of the film were unveiled by the makers earlier this year. The director of Secret Home, Abhayakumar K, disclosed in an interview with OTTplay that the film will address a few topics that people would typically be reluctant to bring up.

The filmmaker revealed that the film is based on a true crime story from Kerala. "Whether it's from the police or the media, we typically only hear one side of an incident. This movie looks at the case from all angles," he asserted.
