Apple announced that Sebastian Stan will join for a new movie, Sharper a highly awaited Apple Original feature film from A24, written by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanako. The star will be paired opposite Academy Award-winner Julianne Moore, who is also the executive producer of the thriller.
Sebastian Stan Joins Julianne Moore in Con Artist Drama ‘Sharper’ for A24 and Apple
The movie is said to be centring around a con artist, the role played by Julianne who operates in Manhattan’s billionaire echelon. Sebastian on the other hand will play the role of Max, who is common for performing complicated schemes and stealing large amounts of money. Most of the plot details are however kept under wraps until further notice.
BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated director Benjamin Caron who is best known for his works on The Crown and Sherlock will be directing the movie.
Along with Moore, Bart Freundlich, Brian Gatewood, Alessandro Tanaka, Erik Feig and Jessica Switch of Picturestart are producing the project. Whereas Julia Hamer of Picturestart will be serving as the executive producer of the film.
Sebastian Stan was recently featured in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He was also seen in the indie romance movie Monday this year and he is expected to be seen in the spy thriller The 355 soon. At present, he is currently filming the biopic series Pam & Tommy in which he will be seen playing Tommy Lee opposite Lily James’ Pamela Anderson.
Moore has done Stephen King limited series Lisey’s Story which was her first project with Apple and Sharper is her second project. The actor also turned executive producer for the film.
