On September 1, SonyLIV released Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, nearly three years after Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story (debuted in 2020). The franchise investigates real-life accounts of significant frauds in Indian contemporary history; in this case, Abdul Karim Telgi's 20-year-old Stamp Paper fraud. The scandal is also known as the Telgi Scam or the Stamp Paper Scam. Abdul Karim Telgi, the mastermind of the Indian scam involving 30000 crores, is portrayed by actor Gagan Dev Riar.

Sanjay Singh, a journalist and news reporter, is credited with breaking the story of the scam at the time. His Hindi book Reporter ki Diary served as the inspiration for the series.
However, the streaming service did not release all of the episodes on September 1. Only 5 episodes of Scam 2003 have been released on the platform today. The makers divided the series into Volume 1 and Volume 2. So, if you're wondering when will the remaining episodes be out, you will have to wait a little extra.

In November 2023, Scam 2003: The Telgi Story Volume 2 will start streaming. In the following volume, 5 more episodes are expected. The details are stated on the show's page. The precise November release date is not specified, though.
