Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story is the upcoming biographical drama series helmed by Hansal Mehta. The teaser of the biographical thriller drama show, which is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and stars Gagan Dev Riar in the titular role, is out now.

Mehta garnered immense praise with his 2020 directorial Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, which also talks about a real-life con story like the forthcoming show.

The new teaser gives a small glimpse into the life of Telgi, whose con story shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale. In the latest video, Telgi confides with someone about how he is not interested in earning money but in making it. And it's exactly how it sounds. The 2003 con man built a money-making machine and supplied it all over the country to finally form over a 30 thousand crore empire of fake notes.

Makers dropped the latest teaser with a special and quirky caption on YouTube that reads, "Khel bada tha, aur khiladi...! The story of one of India's biggest scam by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale. Streaming on 2nd September, only on Sony LIV. #Scam2003OnSonyLIV #Scam2003 (Sic)."

Hiranandani announced his highly anticipated project last year on May 24 through social media. The filmmaker took to his official Instagram handle and shared a small introductory video with a special caption informing the cinephiles about the makers as well as the star of the show.
