Sayantani Ghosh reunites with Naaginn co-star Shweta Tiwari: In you I found one of the sweetest seniors

Ghosh and Tiwari had starred as the titular character and Queen Surmaya respectively.

Sayantani Ghosh had made a name for herself as the fierce Naaginn in the TV show Naaginn - Waadon Ki Agniparikshaa. In the show, the actress shared the screen with Shweta Tiwari, the latter essaying the role of Queen Surmaya. Although Surmaya and Naagin did not see eye to eye on the show, it seems Ghosh and Tiwari share a delightful bond off screen.

Ghosh recently shared a delightful moment where the two stars got a chance to reconnect off screen. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Ghosh posted a photograph of the two of them together. In the caption, the actress recounted how she had started working on the show back in 2008 with Tiwari. Ghosh recalled how she was a ‘newcomer’ compared to Tiwari, the latter already ‘a star’. The actress went on to say how she had found Tiwari to be one of the ‘sweetest seniors’ and a ‘dear friend’. Talking of how glad she was for the opportunity to reconnect with Tiwari again, she said she’d hoped they would be able to do it more often. “As they say few bonds are always special. Much love” added Ghosh.

Meanwhile a new series based on the legend of the titular shape shifting serpent is currently airing on Voot and Colors TV titled Naagin. The series, bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, is currently in its sixth season. Tejasswi Prakash essays the role of the titular protagonist in Naagin 6. The series also stars Simba Nagpal, Zeeshan Khan, Sudha Chandran, Abeer Singh Godhwani and Mahek Chahal in pivotal roles. Other actors who have appeared on previous seasons of the supernatural drama show include Mouni Roy, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Jyoti, Adaa Khan and Surbhi Chandna, among others.
