Ammy Virk, who was seen as cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu in 83 will entertain with his comedic antics in the upcoming Punjabi movie Saunkan Saunkne.
Ammy and Sargun Mehta play a married couple who are unable to conceive a child. A completely regular issue that can be changed with medical intervention. But no, Sargun comes with a plan to marry her younger sister (Nimrat Khaira) off to her husband instead.
Ammy's character does not seem open to the idea but his wife is insistent. The marriage does take place, oddly enough, and Sargun's character couldn't be happier.
The trailer sees Sargun interrupting Ammy and his second wife's wedding night claiming that she's just not used to sleeping alone. But then there's also Ammy shown stuck in between these two sisters he's wed to and appeasing them respectively whenever there's a disagreement.
There's the typical exchange between the sisters that they should keep their husband in line while the husband is advised by his friends to do the same.
Saunkan Saunkne has an odd concept that tries to show polygamy in a humorous light. Whether or not the movie will be liked by the audience will only be known after it's out in cinemas. The comedy is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron from a script written by Amberdeep Singh.
The cast of Saunkan Saunkne also includes Nirmal Rishi, Kaka Kautki, Sukhwinder Chahal, Mohini Toor, and Ravinder Mand.
