The musical romance drama Satyaprem Ki Katha, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, has completed its second weekend at the domestic box office with an impressive collection of Rs 12 crore. The film, which released on June 29, has now earned a total of Rs 66.06 crore in 11 days, according to the official figures shared by Kartik Aaryan on social media.

The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans, revolves around the love story of Satyaprem (Aaryan) and Katha (Advani), who overcome their personal traumas and societal pressures to find happiness together. The film also features a stellar supporting cast of Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, Rajpal Yadav, and Shikha Talsania.

Satyaprem Ki Katha opened with a strong collection of Rs 9.5 crore on its first day, making it the third-highest opening of 2023 after Jawan and Oppenheimer. The film maintained a steady pace throughout its first week, earning Rs 53.21 crore in seven days. However, it faced a slight drop in its second weekend, collecting Rs 2.85 crore on Friday, Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday.

The film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, with some praising the chemistry between the lead actors and the social message in the film, while others criticising the overwrought and overcooked plot and the mansplaining saviour trope. The film is expected to end its theatrical run with a collection of around Rs 70 crore, as it will face stiff competition from Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, which releases on July 12.
