Brace yourself! As the Queen of Masses is set to grace the big screens soon! Kajal Aggarwal-starrer Satyabhama is all set to hit the big screens on May 17. The makers of the film took to their social media platforms to share the new update with a poster. The new poster features the actress in a serious pose with folded arms. Directed by Suman Chikkala, the upcoming crime thriller will have Kajal Aggarwal playing a cop role.

The teaser of Satyabhama, which released earlier featured the protagonist, as a cop, ACP Satyabhama who is consumed by guilt and is adamant about solving a case, even if it means burning bridges with her superiors. She is dedicated to her work and puts forth a lot of effort and is seen flexing her muscles. The teaser indicates that the fearless cop must investigate a homicide that involves a local political figure. As Satyabhama delves into a high-stakes investigation to find a missing man, the story changes its course, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.

Kajal Aggarwal about headlining an actioner

Kajal Aggarwal earlier revealed that she was impressed by Sashi Kiran Tikka’s writing, which made her say yes to the film. “I truly come on board because of Sashi, he’s too good and meticulous with his detailing,” the actress revealed. She admitted that it took her quite a long time to do a full-fledged action film but is thankful that Satyabhama could fill that void. “I absolutely enjoyed doing the action sequences,” the actress said.

Satyabhama cast and crew

Besides Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj and Naveen Chandra play pivotal roles in Satyabhama. Co-produced by Balaji, the crime thriller has G Vishnu serving as the cinematographer. Sri Charan Pakala is the music composer, while Suman Chikkala, the director, has also written the dialogues.

Kajal Aggarwal’s upcoming films

Apart from Satyabhama, the South diva will also feature in Kamal Haasan and S Shankar’s ambitious sequel Indian 2. Kajal is also awaiting the release of her Hindi film Uma, directed by Tathagata Singha.
