Actor Sathish Ninasam has been away from the limelight for quite some time and the reason is that he is busy putting together his biggest film to date, Ashoka Blade. As the 'sharp' title suggests, the film is a bona fide commercial entertainer that is set in the 1970s with Sathish playing a character belonging to three different age groups, including a 75-year-old man.

In his previous conversation with OTTplay, the 'Lucia' actor divulged that the film is essentially based on real-life incidents that occurred in the Chamarajanagar and Nanjanagud area and that the story spans multiple decades. The character he plays finds himself in the thick of a social revolution and in order to bring this sprawling narrative to life, Sathish added that the project has been mounted on a large scale. He has also turned producer and hired the services of noted screenwriter T.K. Dayanand, who is best known for penning the script of the Rishab Shetty starrer Bell Bottom. Vinod. V. Dhondalay is directing the film.

And to tell this intense story in a fitting manner, it has now come to light that Ashoka Blade will be released in two parts. Speaking to a popular media outlet, Sathish Ninasam revealed that the narrative begins in the '70s and concludes in the year 2022. So as to accommodate this vast timeline, the team has decided to showcase the events of the past in the first instalment and the current-day events in part 2.

Ashoka Blade will be released in multiple languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. We hear that Sathish plans on dubbing himself in not only Kannada but also Tamil and Telugu.

As far as the shoot is concerned, the same reports inform that the team has already completed 100 days of production and has about 30 more days to go. The release date and the teaser/trailer are expected to come out in due time.
