Sathish Ninasam's maiden collaboration with director Vijaya Prasad, Petromax finally gets a release date. The team recently took to social media to announce that the film will be releasing theatres on July 15 to make it a rather eventful month at the box office for Kannada cinema. Petromax will now be clashing with the Anish starrer Benki at the box office will both films coming out July 15.

Petromax also stars Hariprriya, Nagabhushana, Karunya Ram, and Arun Kumar. The film, shot entirely in the cultural city of Mysuru, will boast of director Vijaya Prasad's quintessential wit and dialogue along with a strong emotional core that mainly revolves around the lives of a group of orphans. Sathish Ninasam will be seen playing a delivery boy in the film and his onscreen camaraderie with Hariprriya is likely to be the main highlight of the film. With funny men like Nagabhushana in the mix, one can expect this to be a thorough entertainer.

The upcoming month of July is already packed with at least ten releases and Petromax becomes the eleventh with more expected to come. Senior superstars Shiva Rajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep will be opening and concluding the month with Bairagee and Vikrant Rona respectively and to make things more eclectic, we have a set of exciting debuts too up on the offer. Former TV anchor Sheetal Shetty, who has forayed into acting now, will be making her directorial debut with Window Seat (starring Nirup Bhandari, Amrutha Iyengar, and Sanjana Anand, and releasing on July 1) and Real Star Upendra's nephew Niranjan will be seen playing the lead for the first time in Namma Hudaguru (releasing on July 8). Along with Window Seat and Bairagee, K.M. Chaitanya's comedy film Abbabba too will releasing on July 1. Here's the entire rundown of the month of July at the box office for KFI:
