The film's first look
Actor-filmmaker Sasikumar, who is on a signing spree, is ready with his next. Filmmaker Vetri Maaran has announced the title and first look of the project which has debutant Hemanth Kumar at its helm. Kaari Titled Kaari, its first look has Sasikumar looking intense while a few people are seen with bulls in the background.
Imman has been brought on board to compose music for the movie which has been bankrolled by S Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures. Ganesh Chandhrra has cranked the camera for the project which has editing by T Shivanandeeshwaran.
Milan is in charge of art direction while Anbariv, Stunt Silva and Dinesh Subbarayan have joined hands to choreograph stunt sequences for the film. The production house thanked Vetri for revealing the project's title and first look. They tweeted, "Heartfelt thanks to director @VetriMaaran for launching the first look of our film #Kaari, a grand rural entertainer starring @Sasikumardir, directed by @HemanthM_Dir and music by @immancomposer (sic)."
Prince Pictures, which has produced Singam 2, Mohini and Dev earlier, has Karthi's Sardar and untitled film with RJ Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh in their kitty.
Sasikumar, who was last seen in Kombu Vatcha Singamda which had a theatrical release, currently has Pagaivanuku Arulvai, Naa Naa and Common Man in his kitty. Last year, he had three releases, Udanpirappe, MGR Magan and Raajavamsam, among which the first two were direct-to-OTT releases.
An official announcement on the film's cast will be revealed later. According to a source, Parvathy Arun, Ammu Abirami, Redin Kingsley, Aadukalam Naren, Prem and Balaji Sakthivel among others will essay pivotal roles in the movie. Billed as a rural drama, we hear that the makers are eyeing a theatrical release later this year.
