Malhar Thakker and Deeksha Joshi’s 2018 hit comedy film Sharato Lagu is now available in Bengali. The film was released on Shemaroo Bengali’s YouTube channel. Sharato Lagu’s Bengali dubbed version is called Sarta Prayog.

Sharato Lagu, which was acclaimed both critically and by the audiences, is the story of a veterinarian named Savi (Savitri) and Satya, who manufactures products with solar energy.

The two are in a complicated relationship. They move in together but do not realize how much they love one another and what value their relationship holds. The whole film revolves around them making mistakes like a regular couple and hurting one another unintentionally.

Apart from Deeksha and Malhar, Sharato Lagu also stars Prashant Barot, Hemant Jha, Chhaya Vora and Alpana Buch in pivotal roles. While Prasant and Chhaya play Savi’s parents, Hemant and Alpana can be seen as Satya’s parents.

Gopi Desai, Hitarth Joshi and Deepa Trivedi also make an appearance in the film as Satya’s grandmother and Savi’s siblings respectively. Sharato Lagu, which released on October 25, 2018, had its world premiere at the Vadilal International Gujarati Film Festival in the same year.

Sharato Lagu was also among the few films to remain in theatres for a month straight. It received positive word of mouth, which helped the movie become a superhit. It tentatively earned Rs. 17.5 crore at the Box Office.

The movie, which is a remake of the 2017 Marathi film Chi Va Chi Sau Ka, is directed by Neeraj Joshi. The Marathi movie, helmed by Paresh Mokashi, received mixed responses from critics and audiences. It featured Lalit Prabhakar and Mrinmayee Godbole in the lead roles.
