Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas feature in supporting roles alongside Akshay. We've got to know where Sarfira will stream after its theatrical run. Yes, Disney+ Hotstar is the OTT partner for the film, which is a remake of Kongara's 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. The film was based on G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey and starred Suriya and Rawal.
Sarfira follows a guy as he faces opposition from several quarters in his mission to provide low-cost airline tickets. It's an extraordinary tale taking place in the aviation and startup industries. The film promises to motivate the average person to dream big and follow their passions regardless of the opinions of others. Despite threats to his company and the safety of his customers, he battles to realise his ambition of founding a low-cost airline, despite the fact that he faces opposition from cunning, competitive airline owners.

In the beginning, Sikhya Entertainment, together with 2D Entertainment, was going to co-produce the remake. However, 2D sold the rights to Abundantia Entertainment without consulting the former two companies; therefore, Sikhya Entertainment went to the Madras High Court to get their money back. Early September saw Sikhya Entertainment withdraw from the production, leading to the conclusion of the case.
In an interview with New Indian Express, Kongara spoke about having a theatrical release for Sarfira while Soorarai Pottru premiered directly on Prime Video. The filmmaker stated that she is overjoyed and thrilled with Sarfira being a new experience after all. She never felt like she was doing a remake, even though Soorarai Pottru is streaming on OTT. Kongara couldn't believe how long it had been since the film's theatrical release, where everyone could enjoy it in a group setting. The experience of seeing a film in a theatre is unlike anything that OTT services can offer.
