Released in 2017, the Punjabi drama will finally make its OTT premiere on August 14, 2024, on Chaupal. You will also be able to watch the movie through OTTplay Premium. During the tumultuous India-Pakistan partition, a compassionate Indian Sikh police officer, driven by a sense of duty and humanity, rescues an abandoned infant from the chaos, and decides to adopt and raise the baby on his own.
Years later, the grown-up man embarks on a dangerous journey to Pakistan, seeking to uncover the truth about his biological roots and the family he never knew anything about, while dealing with an intense identity crisis and feeling disconnected from his heritage.
The trailer begins with a young man, named Sardar Mohammad, thinking about his identity and true roots. This curiosity makes his adoptive parents quite tense as they are worried about what steps he might take in the future.
Sardar Mohammad is seen as overly loved and cherished by his village people in India. We also get to see that there's a girl whom he loves very dearly.
But soon the trailer takes a dramatic turn when Sardar gets to know about the truth about his life. He is seen devastated and even his village enemy’s constant teasing leaves him disheartened.
What will happen next to Sardar Mohammad? Will he be able to find his true identity? Find out on August 14.
