Sardar director PS Mithran gets hitched; Karthi attends the wedding
Sardar director PS Mithran got hitched to film journalist and critic Ashameera Aiyappan at a simple traditional ceremony. The wedding was held in Tanjore amid the presence of family and close friends. Karthi, who had starred in his last release, attended the wedding. A picture of Karthi with the couple is doing the rounds on social media. Mithran and Ashameera got engaged in June last year. The event was also attended by directors Ravikumar and Rathnakumar.
Meyaadha Maan director Ravikumar dropped a picture with the couple and cheekily wished them, "Happy Dependence Day @aashameera @Psmithran (sic)."
In the meantime, wishes have been pouring for the couple from the film fraternity, Production house, Studio Green wrote, "Congratulations #PSMithran & #AshaMeeraAiyappan on a spectacular wedding and a lifetime of love and happiness ahead From entire team of #StudioGreen #PSMithranMarriage (sic)"
PS Mithran is known for his films based on social issues, which includes water adulteration, espionage, national security, cybersecurity, intellectual theft to name a few. His last release was Sardar, a spy thriller featuring Karthi in dual roles. The film hit screens on the occasion of Deepavali and emerged as a huge success at the box office, thus marking a hatrick for Karthi, who was already basking in the success of Viruman and Ponniyin Selvan.
Mithran made his debut as a director with Irumbu Thirai (2018), Hero (2019) and had also penned the dialogues for the film Trigger. He is yet to make an announcement about his upcoming projects. After Vignesh Shivan was allegedly ousted from Ajith's next, which was tentatively titled AK62, there was a buzz that Mithran might helm the project. However, the director rubbished the same rumours. Meanwhile there is another buzz that Mithran has contributed the screenplay of AK62, which will be helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. An official announcement is awaited about the film.
