The team of Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan
The shooting of lensman-turned-filmmaker Vijay Milton's Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan had commenced a while ago. Being shot extensively in Daman-Diu, the movie has Vijay Antony playing the lead. Sarath Kumar was roped in earlier by the team to play a crucial character in the movie.
The senior actor has now completed his portions for the project. Milton himself announced the same on his social media page and posted a video while shooting near a seashore from the location featuring the actor. All praise for Sarath's contribution and screen presence, he tweeted, "its a wrap for @realsarathkumar in #மழைபிடிக்காதமனிதன் wat a screen presence sir. tnq for all ur professional and personal gestures (sic)."
The team announced that they had also wrapped up a crucial schedule and posted a picture of a few members from Milton's Twitter page. The picture has the director himself, along with Sarath Kumar, Vijay Antony and others posing excitedly for the photo. Milton is handling the film's cinematography as well.
Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan is a sequel to Vijay's Salim (streaming on Zee5) which released in 2014. Sandalwood actor Dhananjaya, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma and Thalaivaasal Vijay among others play key roles in the movie for which Vijay Antony has composed music. Achu Rajamani is in charge of composing the project's background score. Megha Akash is playing the female lead in the film.
It is heard that another senior actor Vijayakanth will also be a part of the film, though the makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same.
He was last seen donning the greasepaint six years ago in Sagaptham which marked his son Shanmuga Pandian's acting debut.
