Taraka Ratna, who is set to make his OTT debut with Hotstar’s web show 9 Hours, is also aiming a return to mainstream films in a full-on massy avatar. His next theatrical release is Saradhi, a sports drama written and directed by Jaakata Ramesh where Kona Sasitha is cast as the female lead. P Naresh Yadav, YS Krishna Murthy, P Siddeswara Rao are bankrolling the film under Panchabhutha Creations. The theatrical trailer of the film was launched earlier today.

This is the first ever sports drama in the career of Taraka Ratna and the fine balance between the quality storytelling and mass-appealing moments certainly creates curiosity. Not only does the actor give a handful to the baddies in the film but also leads the fight for native games with the sports authority in the country. There are several references to nature and mythology indicating the fight between good and evil.

The trailer starts with a voice-over conveying that one is destined to meet their end if they go against the five primary elements of nature. While Taraka Ratna is seen as a coach who’s fighting for a piece of land to train, he faces opposition from a goon, who’s referred to as a ten-headed Ravana. Will the protagonist succeed in his pursuit? The viewer will know at the theatres soon.

We’re thankful to Taraka Ratna who ignored the risks posed by the pandemic and still shot for the film, supporting us through the making, the makers conveyed their gratitude to the male lead. They also appreciated the technicians who left no stone unturned to produce the desired result. Saradhi is aiming at a theatrical release shortly. Siddarth Watkins has composed the music for the film that’s cinematographed by Manohar Kolli.
