Ae Watan Mere Watan title track: A day after releasing the official trailer of Sara Ali Khan's film the makers have dropped a song of Ae Watan Mere Watan. The film, directed by Kannan Iyer, is scheduled for an OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, 2024. Ahead of the digital release, the title track of Ae Watan Mere Watan has been released. It features Sara Ali Khan as Usha Mehta against the backdrop of the 1942 Quit India Movement.
The music of Ae Watan Mere Watan's title track has been composed by Akashdeep Sengupta. Romy, on the other hand, has crooned the song while Darab Farooqui has penned the lyrics. Featuring Sara Ali Khan, the song highlights her as Usha Mehta, a freedom fighter, who fought the war for Indian freedom through her radio channel.
This song strikes an emotional chord and reminds us of the sacrifices made by thousands of people who fought for India's freedom against the British Raj. Ae Watan Mere Watan has been co-written by Kannan Iyer and Darab Farooqui.
Earlier, in a press statement, Sara Ali Khan spoke about essaying the role of Usha Mehta in Kannan Iyer's Ae Watan Mere Watan. "Portraying such a powerful character in Ae Watan Mere Watan has been an honor beyond words. To embody the spirit of my character and diving into her consciousness and understanding what motivates and inspires her has been humbling and empowering," she said.
The Bollywood actress added that her upcoming film is a reminder of several sacrifices made by unsung heroes and a testament to the fortitude of the human spirit.
Apart from Sara Ali Khan, Ae Watan Mere Watan features Sachin Khedekar, Anand Tiwari, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O' Nell, Benedict Garrett, and Emraan Hashmi. The actor will be seen playing the role of Ram Manohar Lohia in the movie.
