Gaslighting means psychologically influencing someone into doubting their own sanity or cognitive abilities. Sara Ali Khan's latest film is Gaslight alongside Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey. The film is a thriller, and going by trailer, gaslighting does come into play at every instance. Now, during a recent interview, Sara spoke about how her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan and she played victim cards after their parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, got divorced.

Sara told Bollywood Bubble that they periodically played the victim card, like how her family's dynamics are apparent in some ways. She further said that when she was around 11 years old, she would tell her mom that as her father is not here, she has to give things to her. At the age of 15, Sara also told Saif that, as he doesn't live with them, he also has to get certain things for her. Sara added in jest that she still does it occasionally, even at the age of 26.

Under Pavan Kirpalani's direction, Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri produced the mystery-thriller movie Gaslight. On Disney+ Hotstar, it will be available on March 31, 2023.

Earlier, while talking about the film, Pavan had said, "I have shot Gaslight in 36 days, and it’s safe to say I can shoot a film within controlled budgets and tight schedules. With limited locations and detailed preparation, it is easier to shoot."

He further said, "I spent a month doing workshops with Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Chitrangda Singh for the film, and they did a great job. They made everything look so effortless and helped create that sense of mystery that our shots required."

Gaslight marks Sara's first outing in the thriller genre. The film is her third OTT release after Coolie No. 1 and Atrangi Re.
