Reports began circulating that Saqib Saleem is upset with the Citadel: Honey Bunny team, claiming he didn't promote the series at all. Now, the actor has broken his silence and posted a note on his Instagram page hinting that all is not well, but he is pleased with the reviews coming in.
Saleem wrote a caption stating that although he does not possess any images taken during production, those who have seen the promotional materials attentively may have noticed an identifiable individual. Viewers now have access to everything he has invested in this project, and we greatly value their opinions. He asked his fans to put their thoughts into this empty space and watch it come to life!

According to India Today, the actor, who played a major role in the series starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, missed the Citadel: Honey Bunny premiere night. The actor was reportedly in Goa, fuming over his exclusion from the show's trailer.
Some have speculated that Saleem's discontent began with the exclusion of his role from the trailer and subsequent exclusion from all promotional events. Even on his Instagram, the actor has been mum about the show's promotion.
In another enigmatic Instagram post, Saleem discussed gracefully navigating difficult situations. The actor's decision to forgo the premiere has fans wondering if he and the show's creators are on favourable terms.
Raj and DK are co-writers of the Prime Video series with Sita R. Menon. The Russo Brothers' AGBO served as the executive producer, with D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios handling the production. David Weil, together with Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes of AGBO, served as executive producers for Citadel: Honey Bunny and all of the Citadel series. As an executive producer, Midnight Radio is involved as well.
On November 7, the show debuted on Prime Video.
