Composed by Charanraj, the title track of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is director Hemanth M Rao’s favourite from the album. The first part of the film releases in theatres on September 1
A few days ago, filmmaker Hemanth M Rao had told us that audiences were in for multiple treats this month, as he’d planned multiple updates surrounding his next, the first of the two-part film Sapata Sagaradaache Ello. At least three more songs, besides the one that’s already out and the trailer, among others, are set to be in the public domain. Shortly after, Hemanth announced that the next song was ready to be shared with audiences. This, he said, would be the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello title track, which, according to him is the soul of the film. The song was to be released today, August 7, but owing to the unfortunate demise of actor Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana, the launch was pushed ahead as a mark of respect. The song will be released on August 8, now.
In a recent Twitter space conversation with Kannada film aficionados, Hemanth had revealed that across the two parts of the film, composer Charanraj would be presenting 12 songs . “Sapta Sagaradaache has a lot of music in it and there is a poetry to the tunes we’ve used in the film. I like telling my stories with music,” he had said. The first part of the film, which they’ve called Side A, will be in theatres on September 1 and exactly 50 days later, on October 20, Side B will be released.
Described as an intense love story that’s set across two time periods, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello pairs Rakshit with Rukmini Vasanth and Chaithra J Achar. Rukmini, we hear, plays a singer in the film, which is also a reason behind the large number of songs. To be releleased in theatres by KVN Production, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is Hemanth’s second collaboration with Rakshit, after Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. The filmmaker has been quoted as saying that he’d initially written the script keeping Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar in mind. Over the years, the script has had changes and rewrites and today, he says, it is a far more poetic and intense version than it was at the start.
