Back in early September, when Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A came out and concluded with a brief glimpse of what is to come in Side B, which, at the time was supposed to be only 7 weeks away, it sparked a wave of speculation about the second instalment. Hemanth M Rao’s film about star-crossed lovers Manu (Rakshit Shetty) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth) returns with its second part this week, which takes off after a 10-year gap in the timeline. Manu’s jail term has come to an end, but navigating life on the outside is not a smooth sail after such a long time away. He’s not over Priya or the circumstances that led to him losing the love of his life. That much, of course, was understood. But what will Side B entail? Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B: Netizens wonder what happens with Manu and Priya in 2020

What if…

• Manu plots the take down of Prabhu (Achyuth Kumar) and Preetham (Arjun Kaje), the two who are originally responsible for the way his life turned out. Will Manu risk his freedom again by going after them?
• Manu gets caught up with Soma’s (Ramesh Indira) nefarious business deals in the outside world
• Surabhi (Chaithra J Achar) is a commercial sex worker who Manu uses to honey-trap someone. Rakshit Shetty has been quoted as saying that while Manu’s relationship with Priya is organic, there is a purpose behind his liaison with Surabhi.
• Priya’s husband, played by JP Tumminad, becomes a victim of Manu’s attempts to right the wrongs in his life
• Manu kidnaps a child from Prabhu or Preetham’s household? Or, could it be Priya’s kid?
• Manu dies
• Priya’s child, a young boy, is named Manu. This could explain the shot of Priya walking along the beach with a child by her side and what she says about holding Manu’s hand tight.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B trailer: Oh no! Is Manu and Priya’s story really over?

While there are multiple theories suggesting that there will not be a happy ending for Manu and Priya, the fact that Hemanth wrote it as their story and has been eloquent about the clarity he had about their characters, but not so much for Surabhi, who remained a bit of an enigma, should be proof enough that Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A and B included), is and will always be about Katthe and Putti.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B opens in theatres on November 17. Side A is currently avaiable to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
