Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, starring Rakshit Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Chaithra J Achar and others, is set to release in theatres on November 17th
Hemanth M. Rao says that the response Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A received is one of the main reasons why the team chose to delay the theatrical release of Side B.
The first part of the two-part film arrived in cinemas on September 1 solely in Kannada but gained traction outside Karnataka as well on the back of encouraging reviews back home. As a result, it would be dubbed and released in Telugu (as Sapta Sagaraalu Dhaati) the same month but would prematurely land on OTT only a week later along with two additional dubbed versions of Tamil and Malayalam.
Hemanth, who co-wrote and directed the film, shares that one of the biggest contributors to the postponement of the second part from October 20 to November 17 is the love that Side A earned from all corners of the country.
"The response we got for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A - not just from Karnataka but all parts of the country - is the reason we pushed the release to November 17. We got a lot of messages from audiences and even distributed reached out to us to release Side B in multiple languages," he said at the recently held press meet for the second part.
Post the release of Side A, Rakshit Shetty (also producer) and co. embarked on a publicity tour across Karnataka to spread the word about the film. The tour, evidently, did fetch good results for the film which held its own despite the threat posed by other big releases like Kushi (Telugu) and Atlee's Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A might not have set cash registers ringing, as it were, but the film rode its wave purely on merit which was bolstered further by word-of-mouth publicity.

Aside from the audience's love, the film also received praise from actors like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Rishab Shetty and several other noted names.
