Kannada filmmaker Hemanth M Rao’s third directorial, the two-part Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is nearing its date with audiences. The instalments, called Side A and Side B, respectively, hit theatres on September 1 and October 20 respectively, in the run-up to which, Hemanth took the lead today to present the much-awaited trailer of Side A. Set in 2010, this part of the ‘intense love story’ focuses on the relationship between Rakshit Shetty’s Manu and Rukmini Vasanth’s Priya. Barring two teasers that were only a few seconds long each to show that the film is set in two distinct time periods set apart by 10 years, Hemanth has been very guarded about revealing anything about the film. Even the two songs that came out earlier barely had any visuals from the film.

But now, we finally get a glimpse into the filmmaker’s work, which he has described as his most poetic work to date. Moments ago, the trailer of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A was released and as Hemanth has promised, it is about an intense love story, but also the lengths to which one will go for love. What will Manu do for Priya?

In earlier interviews with the media, Hemanth had spoken about his love for telling stories through music and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is an extension of that. The filmmaker reunites with music man Charanraj, with whom he had done Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu and Kavaludaari earlier. This time around, Charan is giving Hemanth a whopping 12 songs , with six each spread across the two parts of the film. Two songs, Horatta and the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello title track, are currently in the public domain and have been well received.

To be released by KVN Productions in Karnataka, Side A comes only a week after Raj B Shetty’s Toby. As of now, it does not have much competition at the box office from other new releases, but the fate of Side B is a lot different with at least three biggies from other industries and Shivarajkumar’s Ghost vying for a share of the box office.
