The first instalment of the two-part Hemanth M Rao directorial is releasing in theatres on September 1
Kannada filmmaker Hemanth M Rao and actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty’s second collaboration Sapta Sagaradaache Ello has been shrouded in secrecy. The film is just over two weeks away from its theatrical release and yet, there’ve only been the minutest of glimpses in the public domain, from the two teasers that the director put out. At the time, the intent of the teasers was to tell audiences that the narrative was set in two distinct time periods 10 years apart, which have Rakshit sporting two different looks, including one that had him in a heavier set avatar.

Later on, the filmmaker revealed that the film was being split into two parts. He had, after all, shot the film over a whopping 137 days and had enough footage to warrant two movies. Eventually Sapta Sagaradaache Ello was announced as Side A and Side B, each about 2 hours 15-20 minutes each, that will be in theatres 50 days apart on September 1 and October 20, respectively.
So far, Hemanth has only released two songs from the film, a rap number called Horaata and the mellifluous title track and now, he is finally ready to tell and show us more. On August 17, at 6.06 pm, the trailer of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A will be released and will, hopefully, give audiences a better glimpse of the love story of Manu (Rakshit) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth). The film, according to Hemanth, is an intense love story, which he’d written years ago, but has undergone a lot of changes and is, today, far more poetic than he’d originally envisioned. The filmmaker reunites with music man Charanraj for the film, and the latter has put together 12 songs , six for each part of the film.
The film, produced by Rakshit’s Paramvah Studios, is being presented in theatres by KVN Productions as a Kannada film. Hemanth is yet to confirm if dubbed versions will be released at a later stage.
