Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A got off to a good start at the box office on September 1 and has been showing steady improvement since then. The Rakshit Shetty & Rukmini Vasanth starrer managed to begin its theatrical run with approx. Rs. 2 crores on Friday but one expected the film to put on a much better show considering the positive responses it has garnered from all over.

And just as expected Day #2 of the theatrical run yielded much better box office collections and according to trade reports, Hemanth M Rao's film concluded its first Saturday with a little over Rs. 3 crores (gross figures), taking the total collections over the Rs. 5 crore mark.

But all eyes were fixed on the following Sunday to see if Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A could make the best of the buzz during its opening weekend run. Although the exact figures are yet to emerge, the early estimates do suggest that the film has seen off its first weekend on a good note.

The same trade reports tell us that Hemanth Rao's moody love story has earned over Rs. 3.5 crores on Sunday, September 3. These are nett collections, mind you, meaning that the gross value would be considerably higher. Based on these numbers, the three-day tally Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A is close to Rs. 9 crores at this point.

Of course, one expects a Rakshit Shetty film to do a lot better but it must be noted a film of this nature and tone aren't necessarily the crowd pullers of the conventional kind. A lot rides on word-of-mouth publicity and since this team has that in its favour, one could expect it to continue doing better. The focus now shifts to the crucial Monday to see if the good reviews can help the film do well on a weekday.
