Sanya Malhotra is one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry today. The actress, who made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan's Dangal, has been quite busy with back-to-back releases on OTTs throughout the pandemic years. Whether it is Pagglait, Ludo or the more recent ones like Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Love Hostel, the actress has been loved and her performance has been much appreciated in every project that she's been a part of.

A recent report on TOI quotes the a Love Hostel actress as saying that it doesn't bother her as an artiste as to where (i.e. which platform) a film will release as long as it ends up reaching the people for them to watch. She told the publication that it would only matter to her had she been a producer.

"For an actor, when a film drops on OTT, it takes a lot of pressure off you. Frankly, I don’t know how pressure and art can really function together," the Meenakshi Sundareshwar actress was quoted as saying by the portal. She further said that the past three years have changed the ways of the industry a lot and that there is varied and a lot of work for actors in the industry now.

However, the actress did agree that having a theatrical release and witnessing her film being showcased on the silver screens has a certain charm to it that she won't let go off. She was quoted by the publication as saying, "Yes, bade parde pe film dekhna aur apni film wahan release hona is a dream that I won’t let go of. It has its own charm.”

Speaking about having film releases at regular intervals even during the pandemic years, the actress shared that she feels 2021 was a great year for her and that she doesn't have anything to complain about. Sanya also mentioned that she would also include the year 2020 as even that was a good year for her professionally. She added that the characters she played got a lot of love and that she feels encouraged by the response that they've been getting.

Sanya will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar's biopic on Sam Maneckshaw titled Sam Bahadur. She will be seen reuniting with her Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film that also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
