Santhanam’s next titled Inga Naan Thaan Kingu, Kamal Haasan releases the first-look poster

Actor-comedian Santhanam was last seen in rural comedy entertainer Vadakupatti Ramasamy in the lead titular role. While the film received a lukewarm response, the actor’s next was launched by Kamal Haasan on social media on Wednesday.

Titled Inga Naan Thaan Kingu, the film is presented by Gopuram Films' GN Anbuchezhian and produced by Sushmitha Anbuchezhian on a grand scale. From the looks of the poster, the Santhanam-starrer promises to be a commercial entertainer. The makers have not released the release date of the film.

Santhanam’s next title out

The first-look poster of Inga Naan Thaan Kingu shows Santhanam in the centre and is carried by four men, in what looks like a celebration or victory. The poster has a backdrop of celebrations, promising the film to be a comedy and commercial entertainer.

It is directed by Anand Narayan, with GN Anbuchezhian's production banner Gopuram Films, which has backed films including Vellaikara Durai, Thangamagan, Marudhu, and Aandavan Kattalai, producing it.

Apart from Santhanam, the film also stars Priyalaya in her acting debut, apart from Thambi Ramaiah and late Manobala. Along with them, Munishkanth, Vivek Prasanna, Bala Saravanan, Maran, Cool Suresh and others are also part of the cast.

The story, screenplay and dialogues for Inga Naan Thaan Kingu have been penned by Ezhichur Aravindan, with D Imman scoring the music. Lyrics have been penned by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan and Muthamil. The technical crew also consists of Om Narayan as the cinematographer, while M Thiyagarajan is the editor.

The shooting for the Santhanam-starrer took place in and around Chennai, with the film in the final leg of the post-production. A release for the film is yet to be unveiled, however, as per the makers Inga Naan Thaan Kingu will have a summer 2024 theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Santhanam had started his 2024 count with Vadakkupatti Ramasamy which released earlier this month. The film opened to a lukewarm response. The actor had three releases last year, including Kick, DD Returns and 80s Buildup.
