The first poster of Sanju Weds Geetha 2 reveals that Ramya will be presenting the film and we hear that she may not be seen in a full-fledged role.
Sanju Weds Geetha is among the most memorable love stories of recent times in Kannada cinema. With the slightly unlikely pairing of Ramya and Srinagara Kitty at the centre, the film was received very well by the audiences who were quite drawn to the melodramatic love story, one that served as a throwback to the cinema of the 1970s and '80s. Nagashekar's direction, the central performances and the music, too, won a lot of praise from both critics and the general public.
But there's more to the Sanju and Geetha story, we are told, and very recently, on the occasion of Srinagara Kitty's birthday, the team released a new poster of Sanju Weds Geetha 2. The new film, of course, is billed as a sequel with both Srinagara Kitty and Nagashekar reprising their respective roles but it remains unclear whether Ramya will come back on board.
According to recent reports, director Nagashekar is expected to discuss the sequel with Ramya and once things fall into place, a formal announcement of some kind would be made. As of now, it would seem that there's no female lead finalized for Sanju Weds Geetha 2.
In the same vein, another interesting speculation or buzz has emerged on social media which suggests that Rachita Ram could be roped in to play the crucial role of the female lead. These speculations state that she will likely be paired with Srinagara Kitty which could potentially mean that Ramya will no longer be associated with the sequel. Again, one awaits a formal word on the same.
The same first poster of Sanju Weds Geetha 2 reveals that Ramya will be presenting the film, which suggests that she may not be acting in a full-fledged role. We hear that she could play a cameo in the film but that isn't confirmed by the makers yet.
