Sandipta did not go overboard with makeup and wedding attire. As reported, she picked a fuschia Banarasi sari which was procured from Banaras. Her makeup was fuss-free and she teamed up the attire with traditional gold jewellery pieces.

However, it is her footwear that aced the ensemble. She ditched the traditional bridal stilettos and chose a pair of white and gold chunky sneakers and sported it with her traditional outfit. She looked perfectly comfortable as she stood to greet the guests for hours and roamed happily later in the evening. Sandipta surely set a benchmark in terms of bridal fashion in Kolkata. She chose comfort over social expectations from a heroine bride – not a regular affair in the entertainment industry.

Earlier, Sandipta confirmed that she would try to keep her makeup simple and traditional. On the day of her wedding, she looked gorgeous in a fuschia pink Banarasi Sari. With a gold tiara, nath, and other gold pieces, she looked like a quintessential Bengali bride. Meanwhile, the groom chose a blush pink sherwani with an embroidered jacket.

The wedding also presented an elaborate dinner spread with prawn, chicken, mutton, pulao, and an array of Bengali desserts. All the guests were seen gorging on the delectable food.
