Arjun Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which released after a long wait, has been lauded by the critics and viewers alike. Now Arjun has hinted that the film, helmed by Dibakar Banerjee could have a sequel as well.
Talking to ANI, the actor shared, "If you see the brilliant climax of the film that Dibakar has so masterfully designed, you will realise that there is definitely a scope for a sequel that can be dark, gritty, raw, and excessively thrilling."
Although he did not confirm whether Dibakar is working on the sequel, Arjun did share that he and Parineeti would be ready if and when the director gives them a green signal for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar 2.
Arjun played the role of a suspended Haryanvi constable Satinder Dahiya (Pinky) in the movie. His role as Pinky was appreciated to a great extent.
Parineeti, on the other hand, was seen in the role of an ambitious professional in the corporate world, Sandeep Walia (Sandy). The film revolved around her fight for justice.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar marked Arjun and Parineeti’s third collaboration after Ishaqzaade and Namastey England. The actors had both made their acting debut in YRF’s Ishaqzaade back in 2012.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar also stars Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav and Jaideep Ahlawat in significant roles. The movie, produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, released in theatres before streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Apart from Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Arjun was also seen in Sardar Ka Grandson. The actor now has Ek Villain Returns and Bhoot Police in the pipeline.
