After making her Telugu debut with Bheemla Nayak, the actress returns to the industry with the Telugu version of Kaduva
Samyuktha Menon was one of the biggest surprise packages of Bheemla Nayak. Trivikram, the writer, did a fabulous job of giving her role enough substance in a male-dominated narrative. Even within the limited screenspace, the actress in her Telugu debut looked assured and held her own amidst heavyweights. She was in Hyderabad yesterday to promote the Telugu version of Kaduva.
“I hope Telugu audiences have liked the teaser of Kaduva. Promoting your direct Telugu film here among audiences in one thing but doing a Malayalam film and coming here to promote it in Telugu is another. I feel very proud today. I worked on Bheemla Nayak and Kaduva at the same time, though I signed Kaduva earlier,” said the actress, who is currently working on Dhanush’s bilingual Sir.
“I was a first hand witness to the love Telugu audiences have for films during Bheemla Nayak at the theatres and I’m sure you’ll experience a similar high and celebration for Kaduva in Telugu. I feel happy to be back here and people kept asking me when would I return,” she added. Kaduva, in which she plays Lynda Kurian, is her second release in 2022 after Bheemla Nayak.
The actress, who made her acting debut in 2016 with the Malayalam film Popcorn gradually carved her niche in the Tamil industry as well, with films like Kalari, July Kaatril and the bilingual Erida. She is also set to charm Kannada audiences later this year with Gaalipata 2. Samyuktha plays a key role in Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisaara.
