Akshay Kumar will soon be seen as King Prithviraj Chauhan in the upcoming movie, Samrat Prithviraj. The movie’s makers have now released another trailer for the movie, which shows the integrity and valour of the last Hindu king.
The latest trailer shows Kumar’s Prithviraj as the ideal king and a leader who has all the right ideals. From the concept of equality to protecting his subjects who speak the truth, the king’s ideas are highlighted in the trailer.
The new trailer then shifts gears to the king accepting an invitation to go to war against the sultan who has come to grab his lands. The latter part of the trailer shows the movie’s epic war sequence, which seems to have been captured on a large canvas. The trailer that is titled “Aakhri Hindu Samrat Prithviraj'' or the last Hindu king Prithviraj, also includes lines delivered by Kumar’s Prithviraj about the ideals of a Hindu and protecting refugees.
The upcoming historical film stars Akshay Kumar as the titular king, with Manushi Chhillar making her Bollywood debut in the role of Sanyogita. Sonu Sood stars as Chand Varai, while Sanjay Dutt essays the role of Kaka Kanha, the king’s uncle. Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar also feature in pivotal roles in the film.
Two trailers for the movie have already been released by the makers, with both of them receiving much love from Kumar’s fans. The first trailer has over 70 million views on YouTube.
Backed by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the movie is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who has previously helmed a number of historical retellings for both television and the big screens. Samrat Prithviraj, which is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year, is set to hit theatres on June 3.
