Samrat Prithviraj advance Box Office response: Akshay Kumar’s film is off to a fair start

Akshay Kumar’s period drama Samrat Prithviraj is back in news since the film is nearing its release. The advance booking of the film has opened up and it has received a fair response, considering how the post-pandemic films’ Box Offices are going. Prithviraj will release on the coming Friday.

According to a report on Koimoi, Samrat Prithviraj has earned Rs. 20 lakhs so far. It isn’t the best advance Box Office collection so far but considering how the post-pandemic films are working, the numbers are fairly good.

Samrat Prithviraj has five more days to collect more at the Box Office for the opening day. If it earns Rs. 20 lakhs, the film will have opened to at least Rs. 10 crores at the Box Office on day one.

Since Samrat Prithviraj is also among one of the most-awaited films of 2022, it might even end up earning Rs. 12 crores on day one. However, more will be known as the advance bookings of the film progress.

Samrat Prithviraj might not only have the biggest opening but if the script works well among the audiences, it could also compete with Akshay’s own film, Sooryavanshi, which is the highest post-pandemic Box Office.

However, since Akshay’s last film Bachchhan Paandey did not work well at the Box Office, a lot depends on this film. Not just on the opening day but Samrat Prithviraj also has to earn well to sustain at the Box Office for longer, especially when Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani-Tabu’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is working well with the viewers too.

Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Samrat Prithviraj is made on a budget of Rs. 300 crores. The film is based on the Indian warrior, Prithviraj Chauhan, based on Prithviraj Raso. The film stars Manushi Chhillar as the female lead. Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar also appear in the film in pivotal roles.

Previously named Prithviraj, Akshay’s film’s title was changed to Samrat Prithviraj recently. The OTT release date or platform of the film are yet to be known.
