Samantha Ruth Prabhu has proven to be an elite fighter and action star after her powerful role in the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Family Man. The actor is once again looking to impress fans with her action scenes in her upcoming film.

The makers of Yashoda, a multilingual project starring Samantha, recently confirmed that the film will have Hollywood stunt choreographer Yannick Ben pulling the strings for action scenes. Co-director Hari has now revealed some information about the film.

The director confirmed that shooting is happening in a studio in Hyderabad and that Samantha has already shown two action sequences. He also said that Yannick arrived a month ago and choreographed the scenes and that Samantha wanted to rehearse for the portion with the stunt director.

“What we shot with her were commercial fight sequences, but in a very raw format. That’s why she had to rehearse for the portions. In the film, she has many action sequences — she will be fighting a man, and even many people at one go.” said Hari when asked if Samantha had to train for any martial arts for the film.

Directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, who are making their debut. Yashoda is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies.

Samantha was last seen in Jaanu and also appeared in a guest role in a song in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. The actor is also working on the mythological drama Shaakuntalam and is awaiting the release of Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal Films that have not yet been released.
