Samantha Ruth Prabhu on her life’s ‘hardest decision’

In the interview, Samantha reflected on having to take a break from work to recover from myositis, calling it the "hardest decision" of her life. However, looking back, she felt that it was the “hardest yet, the best decision” of her life. “I’ve had my fair share of self-loathing and really low confidence, but I’ve always strived to grow as a person. With that growth came a deeper understanding of my insecurities and self-loathing,” said The Family Man actress, adding that she was able to address her negative traits head-on from within rather than any external quick fixes.

Samantha also pointed out that these setbacks have made her a stronger person and she’s proud of her new self. “People might think that success defines you, but it is failure and loss that truly define you and introduce you to the best version of yourself,” she said.

Samantha on the work front

Regarding her work projects, Samantha was most recently seen in Kushi alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She will also be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the Indian version of the action series Citadel. Samantha recently wrapped up the series' filming.

Samantha wrote a note of gratitude after the shooting was over, sharing photos from the sets. She wrote, “And it's a wrap on #CitadelIndia. A break doesn't seem like a bad thing at all when you know what's coming @rajanddk @mensit... The family I didn't know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.”
