Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be leaving for the USA for the treatment of her autoimmune condition Myositis.
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is quite upbeat about her upcoming web series Citadel: India. After wrapping up shooting for her portions in the international series, Samantha expressed her gratitude to show creators, Raj and DK, for never "giving up on her." She also addressed the murmurs around her decision to take a year-long break from work.
"And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming💪🏼 @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.. I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e until you write me the next," she wrote on her Instagram page while sharing a picture of herself with Raj and DK writer Sita Menon.
According to reports, Samantha will be leaving for the USA to continue treating her autoimmune condition Myositis. Last year, the actor opened up about her medical condition, which she said has turned her life upside down. Although her condition is not life-threatening, she revealed that getting out of bed every day was a big struggle.
Despite her health issues, she completed all her commitments, including Citadel: India and her upcoming Telugu romantic Drama Kushi. Starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, Kushi is getting ready to arrive in cinemas on September 1.
Citadel: India, which also stars Varun Dhawan, is part of a global spy franchise created by Amazon Prime Video. The Hollywood version, Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, received a poor reception from the global audience. The first season was considered a failure. It remains to be seen can Citadel: India make a difference in the show's popularity.
