The motion poster of Padava was launched commemorating Sam Vegesna's birthday today
Satish Vegesna, known for his feature films like Shatamanam Bhavati, Entha Manchivaadavura and Srinivasa Kalyanam, is aiming to make a mark in the digital space next. The filmmaker is making his OTT debut with Kathalu (Meevi Maavi), an anthology web show featuring an array of stories set amid a rural backdrop. Satish has already wrapped up shooting for three stories part of the show. Harish Shankar, whom Satish Vegesna had assisted in the past, had launched the motion poster of the first story in Kathalu, titled Padava.
Padava's motion poster has Eesha Rebba as a traditional woman sitting in an ambassador car after which the focus shifts to a fisherman played by Satish Vegesna's son Sam Vegesna. The motion poster was unveiled commemorating Sam Vegesna's birthday today. Harish Shankar tweeted, "Happy to launch the motion poster of #Padava 1st Story from #Kathalu (Meevi-Maavi). All The Best @VegesnaSatish1 & team 👍 ⭐rring @SamVegesna @YoursEesha #VegesnaSatishKathalu #HBDSameerVegesna @Pradeepvegesna4 @rajeshmanne1."
Veteran actress Thulasi has also been roped in to play a crucial role in Padava. Going by the motion poster, Padava seems to be a love story of two opposites, a girl who leads a privileged life and a flamboyant fisherman. Satish Vegesna insists Kathalu is a family entertainer and can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Satish Vegesna's son Sam is also acting in the other film of the director, Kothi Kommachi, whose shoot was wrapped in 2020.
The release date of Kathalu isn't confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Satish Vegesna is also working on the post production of Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru, starring Narne Nithiin.
