The trailer for the much-awaited Sam Bahadur is finally out. Vicky Kaushal plays the title character, Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, in the Meghna Gulzar-directed film. The trailer gives a glimpse into the life of India's greatest soldier, who led the way during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. Vicky looks the part entirely and brings the suave charm of Manekshaw, who was a no-nonsense man with a dynamic personality. The film is proof that no one, apart from the talented actor, could have emulated this role.

Earlier, the teaser for Sam Bahadur showed a glimpse of Sam's romantic life with his wife, Siloo, played by Sanya Malhotra. Here's more about it and how the dynamics affect both his personal and professional lives. Moreover, the trailer also shows Fatima Sana Shaikh as the former Indian Prime Minister Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was equally no-nonsense like Manekshaw.

Overview of Sam Manekshaw's military career:

Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw MC, was India's first Field Marshal and a great Army General, and Sam Bahadur is a tribute to him. His life and career were characterised by significant events, from participating in World War II to serving as the Indian Army's Chief of Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Meghna Gulzar wrote the screenplay for Sam Bahadur along with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava. Gulzar wrote the film's lyrics, and the musical trio Shankar Ehsan Loy composed the music.

On December 1, 2023, Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies will release the movie on the big screen.
