Actor Vicky Kaushal is on seventh heaven these days and he has every reason to be there. His much-awaited film ‘Sam Bahadur’ is all set to be released on December 1 this year. The film’s makers and the film’s star cast are leaving absolutely no stone unturned to ensure that the film hits the bull’s eye at the box office. As a step in that direction, Vicky Kaushal today took to social media and posted an extremely endearing video of him talking about the film.
In the said video, Vicky Kaushal said, “The first meeting between Meghna (Gulzar) and me on Sam Bahadur happened in the first half of 2019. Before going on floors, we would meet up everyday for about five to six hours daily, just to do reading sessions, workshops, just in general jam with Meghna. I think that the prep for Sam Bahadur has been tremendous and it’s been very meticulous. And, it all starts from the captain of the ship Meghna Gulzar”.
Vicky Kaushal added, “She (Meghna) is so particular, be it the medal of the uniform to the tags, buttons, the looks. As an actor, I don’t think that I have ever done these many numbers of look tests just to get the look right. Here, Meghna Gulzar said that the level of the detailing that was required for the film was because of the nature of the film. Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra recalled her first day on the sets, when she saw Vicky Kaushal (as Sam Bahadur), she was totally blown away. She added that, she just could not see Vicky anywhere as she could only see Sam in him.
After posting the video, Vicky captioned it stating, “The toughest role I have played… The most enriching and full filling journey I have been on as an Actor! Sharing with you’ll a snippet of all that went behind the scenes to make it happen. As for the film ‘Sam Bahadur’, it stars Vicky Kaushal (in the titular role) along with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. The film has been directed by Meghna Gulzar and has been scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1 this year.
