Sam is here! Vicky Kaushal has gotten deep into the look and character of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the latest teaser from the film Sam Bahadur. The talented actor from the first frame has emulated the iconic army figure of the country, who spoke about his love for India as well as the importance of protecting the nation from his enemies throughout his life.
Sam Bahadur teaser unveils the rise to Field Marshal
The teaser for Sam Bahadur shows Vicky in the titular role and his journey to becoming the field marshal. The video, which is nearly two minutes long, also gives a glimpse into the familial life of Sam and his wife, Siloo, played by Sanya Malhotra. Every moment of the trailer shows how straight and prioritised Manekshaw was about his national duties and led an inspiring life as a leader to his army too. Meghna Gulzar has made sure to bring the inspirational story to life on screen, and there couldn't have been anyone better than Vicky Kaushal to play this historic and important personality of the country.

Meghna Gulzar has directed the film and penned the screenplay along with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava.
Sam Bahadur has been in the works for nearly five years now. It was back in December 2021 when Vicky and Meghna announced the rest of the cast, including Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The life of Sam Manekshaw, the first Indian Army officer to achieve the rank of field marshal and the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 served as the inspiration for the movie.
Sam Bahadur is finally making its way to the big screen on December 1, 2023.
