Will Smith took to the stage to slap Chris Rock, after the comedian made a joke at the expense of Smith’s wife
It’s been over a day since the Oscars wrapped up but people are still talking about the event, and one incident in particular. Will Smith is the most talked about actor following the event, after he smacked Chris Rock across the face following a joke.
Bollywood star Salman Khan has now shared his two cents on the issue that has the world divided, and has some tips for the host.
Speaking at a recent media interaction, the star said, “It's important for a host to be sensitive. Humour should always be above the belt and never below the belt. I have hosted shows like Bigg Boss, Dus Ka Dum and so many live shows on stage.”
The actor explained further that whenever something goes wrong with the contestants when he hosts Bigg Boss, he talks about it and shows his anger on the show, but knows that there is a limit.
He added that he understands that they are contestants who have to live in the Bigg Boss house and also have to perform and so learning to be patient is important.
This year's Academy Awards took a dark and awkward turn, when comedian-actor Chris Rock came on stage to present the Oscar for Best Documentary. He passed a joke at the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s expense. This did not sit well with Smith, who walked on stage and smacked Chris Rock across his face.
The incident has had the world divided, with people finding Smith’s behavior violent and unacceptable, while others believe Rock was in the wrong and Smith reacted. Smith ended the night by winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for King Richard.
