Salman Khan to present Kiccha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona in north India?

Given the Kannada actor’s close association with the Bollywood superstar, it can’t get bigger than this, reckons Twitterati.

Later today, the team of Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming release, Vikrant Rona, is expected to make a major announcement. Social media, of course, has been abuzz with theories about what could be in store, with the clear favourite being that the announcement will be about Bollywood superstar Salman Khan presenting/distributing Vikrant Rona in the Hindi belt, under his Salman Khan Films banner.

Twitterati believes that there is no one else Sudeep would associate with in north India, given his close association with his Dabangg 3 co-star Salman and that it cannot get bigger than this. This theory gains credence from the fact that Salman presented the film’s release date teaser earlier. It is also being rumoured that team Vikrant Rona also had a fruitful meeting with Jayantilal Gada of PEN India Pvt Ltd, a leading Hindi production and distribution banner. As of now, though, if the social media buzz is to be believed, at 5.05 pm, it will be about Salman Khan Films joining hands with Shalini Artss) and Invenio Origins for the Hindi distribution of Vikrant Rona. Until then, let's sit back and keep calm, as Sudeep said.

Vikrant Rona, the 3D action-adventure fantasy film directed by Anup Bhandari, is set for a July 28 theatrical release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English. The film is reportedly an investigation story, with Sudeep’s character looking into a series of murder mysteries. The film has music by B Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by William David, who worked on Anup’s Rangitaranga earlier. Also on board the cast of the film are Anup’s brother Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
