As per the available reports, the Main Control Room of Mumbai Police had received a call in which the caller had allegedly threatened to assassinate Salman Khan on April 30. The said anonymous caller, who had described himself as ‘Goushala Rakshak Rocky Bhai’ and was hailing from Jodhpur (Rajasthan). News reports stated that the threat call stated that Bollywood actor Salman Khan would be on assassinated on April 30. In no time, the security outside Salman Khan’s Bandra house got increased. Meanwhile, Salman Khan received a bulletproof vehicle and Y+ category protection. News agency ANI had also tweeted stating, "In a call received at Police Control Room yesterday, a man who identified himself as Roki Bhai from Rajasthan's Jodhpur threatened to kill actor Salman Khan on April 30. Further investigation underway: Mumbai Police”. The Crime Branch officials and also the Mumbai police were attempting to find the caller who had made the threat call.
According to the latest development in the case, the police have now detained a 16-year-old boy from Thane district. The 16-year-old boy teenager, who is a resident of Rajasthan, was nabbed by the cops today (Wednesday). As per a report in the news agency PTI, with technical help, the police personnel were able to track the call to a number in Shahapur (Thane district).
Readers may recall that, earlier also, there was a threat mail which was sent to Salman Khan. In that regard, gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and Mohit Garg were named in a FIR filed by the Mumbai police last month. The FIR was filed for allegedly threatening Salman Khan over email. However, the police officers who were investigating the case, believed it to be a hoax. On further investigation, it was found out that the sender of the mail was a 25-year-old resident of Delhi, who was now enrolled in school in the UK and that he did not appear to be associated or affiliated with neither Bishnoi gang nor Brar gang or any other gang.
