Salman Khanspoke about the responsibilites of a host in light of the Oscars 2022 slap controversy involving Will Smith and the host Chris Rock. He was seen at his candid best while interacting with a group of media persons at a recent event. Speaking about the same, the Bollywood superstar and IIFA ambassador mentioned that hosts should be sensitive as people and their humour should always be above the belt.
"Humour below the belt is not okay at all," Salman said and went on to explain his angry outbursts at the contestants of Bigg Boss, a reality TV show he has been hosting for over a decade now. He mentioned that even he has hosted a number of reality shows like Dus Ka Dum and Bigg Boss and added that he only gets slightly angry when somebody misbehaves with someone else.
Salman shared that people must keep in mind that when they're hosting a show, they're doing it for the audience who are watching it. "So, if on Bigg Boss, you see me reacting in a certain way, it is because behind the scenes too much has happened and I have to react," he said.
The superstar added that Bigg Boss is a show that gets aired on Television and the makers can't show the kind of fowl language and cuss words that the contestants use, or the way they talk on the show at times. He acknowledged that there have been times when people felt that he has overreacted while blasting a contestant, but it's never like that. "Only after they cross all limits of ‘badtameezi’ that I react the way I do," said the actor, adding that he talks to the contestants quite a few times before he blasts them.
