Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra State Minister Baba Siddique was shot dead a few days ago in Mumbai. This left his son Zeeshan Siddique, his family, his close friend, Salman Khan, and the entire country in shock. Salman shares a close bond with Siddique and is deeply affected by his death. Post his death Lawrence Bishnoi's gang has now claimed that they are responsible for his murder and unveiled that they did this because of his connection with the Bollywood star.

Now, in an interview with BBC Hindi, Zeeshan Siddique revealed that Salman Khan is shaken after the incident and has been calling and checking up on the family almost every day. "Salman bhai has been very upset after the incident. My father and Salman bhai were very close, like real brothers. After dad’s death, bhai has supported us a lot. He always checks in on me and at night, he talks to me about being unable to sleep. His support is always there and will continue to be the same," Zeeshan shared.

Zeeshan also spoke about the other celebrities who came forward to support the family during their difficult times including Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt. He mentioned that all these starts are like family to him.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan has been receiving multiple threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang via letters and e-mails. A few months ago, there was also a firing at his house in Mumbai's Bandra. His security has now been upgraded and heightened around him and his house. Bishnoi's feud with Salman dates back to 1998, when the latter was accused of hunting down a blackbuck in Rajasthan (during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain), which is considered holy by the Bishnoi community.
