In a new development, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has appealed to PM Modi for more security for the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star after they condemned the irrational incident. Bollywood star Salman Khan’s Mumbai house became a target for two motorbike assailants after they fired gunshots outside the place. The shocking incident has raised questions about the superstar’s safety. While the family and close friends rushed to Salman to ensure safety, the All Indian Cine Workers Association condemned the horrific incident and asked PM Modi and Amit Shah for a special request to upgrade his security.
In a statement issued by the All Indian Cine Workers Association, the organisation expressed concern over the firing incident at the global star. It also took a dig at the gangsters and the safety of Indian citizens, citing that the VIP area is not safe itself. “The fact that gunfire is occurring in Mumbai, especially in the city's most VIP area, raises concerns about the safety of ordinary citizens when Salman Khan himself is not safe. In the current election atmosphere, gangsters are brazenly firing shots,” as per the statement obtained by ANI.
For the unversed, on April 14, around 5 a.m. two unknown assailants on motorbike were seen firing gunshots outside his Galaxy apartment in Bandra, followed by an FIR lodged against them.

The AICWA body, which oversees security for cine workers and artists in the Indian film industry, further asked for the intervention of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah by paying more attention to Salman’s security. They also requested that they eliminate the gangsters and parties involved in the firing row, as it has generated an environment of fear and dilemma among Bollywood stars. The media body later expressed support for Bhaijaan and called him a part of their Bollywood family.
After the firing incident came to light, several B-town celebs and politicians have been in touch with the Tiger 3 star to ensure his well-being and safety. Raj Thackeray and Mahesh Manjrekar visited Salman’s Bandra house; other ministers called the Tiger star for his safety concerns. Yesterday, Arbaaz Khan was also spotted visiting Salman with wife, Sshura Khan.
Meanwhile, video clips showcasing the assailants outside Salman’s house are going viral on the internet, and the police authorities have promised to catch the perpetrators. The Mumbai Crime Branch is allegedly overseeing the matter.
