Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have collaborated on several films over the past three decades. These include Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaan-E-Mann, Kick, and Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega. Kick (2014), Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut, was their last film together. The film was a commercial success, and it was their last collaboration. Now, as per the latest reports, Salman and Nadiadwala are gearing up to reunite for a high-budget action flick ten years after Kick.

The reunion!

Pinkvilla has reported that Nadiadwala has enlisted the services of AR Murugadoss to helm a high-budget action film starring Salman Khan. The film is expected to premiere in theatres around the Eid 2025 weekend. The possibility of a partnership between Salman and Nadiadwala has been in the works for some time. A source close to the development revealed that Salman was the first name that came to mind when Nadiadwala and Murugadoss discussed this subject. When the producer discussed the film with the superstar, he gave an instant yes. The source revealed that the film, a global action entertainer, will be shot in multiple countries throughout 2024.

With a budget of Rs. 400 crore, the production team plans to shoot the action thriller in Portugal and other European nations, as well as some locations in India. This makes it Nadiadwala's most ambitious film to date. All the necessary pieces fell into place earlier in the year during the meetings, so production could begin on the film without delay. He prioritised the Murugadoss project over all the others since it was the most exciting script he had received in the past year, according to the insider.

Ambitious goals for release and reception

The film will have a marathon run through the year at multiple international theatres beginning in the summer of 2024. The insider said that Salman and Nadiadwala are planning to elevate their collaboration to a new level, calling it their biggest yet. Among Murugadoss's many Tamil and Telugu films are Kaththi, Sarkar, Darbar, and Stalin while his Hindi films include Ghajini and Holiday. The fact that Salman and Murugadoss are now collaborating is rather remarkable, as the filmmaker pitched Ghajini to the superstar in 2006. This mega-budget actioner is aiming for a release during Eid 2025, according to the trio.
