Aamir Khan and Salman Khan had collaborated for both the first and last time in the comedy drama, Andaz Apna Apna in 1994, co-starring Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor. Back then, the film did not do well at the box office, but over the years, it has now garnered a cult classic status. The brilliant humour and the actors’ performances have nailed it. However, now after thirty years, Aamir Khan Productions teased us with an unexpected collaboration once again.

Recently, Aamir Khan's production house has dug up an old X (formerly Twitter) post of Salman Khan from 2010, where he wrote, “I didn’t let Aamir touch me after the film. Agar mujhe gold mein badal deta toh???”. While teasing the fans, the product house re-posted it, and wrote, “We think about this a lot.”

This unexpected post has created widespread speculation among netizens now. Thirty years have passed, and Andaz Apna Apna’s popularity and cult impact have sparked rumours that both the Khans might be getting ready for another on-screen reunion. The prospect of watching the duo once again left the social media into a frenzy.

In the comments of the teasing post, while one user wrote, “New tease about an upcoming film?” Another added, “Both are going to do a project together.” Again another fan of the actors wrote, “Hope we will end up seeing a good movie”, another curious one added, “Something is cooking here!!”

However, neither Aamir Khan nor Salman Khan have officially announced any news about their collaboration yet. The duo have been quite busy on their own separate ventures.

While Aamir Khan was last seen as a guest appearance in Kajol’s Salaam Venky, and his own film Laal Singh Chaddha both in 2022, Salman Khan was last seen in his million-dollar action avatar in Tiger 3 last year.

However, Aamir Khan’s last production Laapataa Ladies has garnered immense applause from the audiences. And Salman Khan's last production Salim-Javed’s docu-series Angry Young Men has also received much appreciation.

Salman Khan's upcoming films

Salman Khan is currently gearing up for Sikandar. According to reports, Khan will be portraying a businessman who is both a compassionate philanthropist and a former 'Dabang'. The interesting part of the film is, Khan will be seen in a dual role that features him as the titular character and another character from his past, adding depth to his performance. The film is currently slated to release Eid weekend in 2025.
