Salaar - Telangana distributors plan massive midnight shows across Hyderabad, details inside

Salaar is seeing a massive release in Telangana. The first show will start at 1 am in Hyderabad and the key cast is likely to watch the film with fans.

Salaar is all set for a massive release on December 22, 2023. The action drama will be released in Hindi and all the southern languages. Prashanth Neel has directed Salaar and Hombale Films is the production house behind this mammoth project, which has Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruthi Haasan in lead roles.

The distributors in Telangana have planned special midnight shows. Salaar is being released by the makers of Pushpa in Hyderabad and they have planned close to 12 midnight shows from 1 am across Hyderabad. Each of the tickets is priced at close to Rs 2,000 and the demand is huge as fans of Prabhas and Telugu movie lovers want to watch the film on the first day itself.

For the last few years, the midnight show culture was banned by the Telangana government. But as the Congress government has come into power in Telangana, they have not only permitted midnight shows but also allowed the distributors to hold six shows a day in Hyderabad and other parts of the state.

Due to this, ticket prices have increased in the first week of its release. A hike of Rs 65 has been imposed for single-screen theatres, whereas Rs 100 has been hiked at multiplexes. Salaar has been in the making for a long time and as Prabhas has given two back-to-back flops with Radhe Shyam and Aadipurush, fans are hoping that the Rebel Star will make a comeback with Salaar.

The action drama will be released in two parts and the second installment will be out in April 2024, as per the news. Salaar is a Telugu film that has been dubbed in other languages. The makers have kept the promotions quite low-key and this aspect has disappointed the fans a bit. But the second trailer for the film changed things big time and now Salaar is all set to release with a solid buzz.
